Depave Chicago: Creating a Depave Network Program to Renature Surface Parking Lots in the Chicago Region

Depave Chicago will partner with the Depave Portland (OR) program to launch a training and consultation initiative. This undertaking will catalyze a Chicago network of community depavers that will work toward replacing impervious parking lots with green and nature-based features, like community gardens.

Based on previous research aimed at creating solutions to reduce urban imperviousness and improve regional water quality, the Depave Chicago Initiative will partner with the Depave Portland (OR) program to launch a training and consultation initiative.
