Morally speaking, we should be concerned for our whole environment. We need to teach people that the environment has a direct bearing on our own benefit.

RxN Webinar Series

Nature can play a critical role in improving complex urban environments. From reducing flooding, to enhancing air quality and improving public health, nature-based solutions (NBS) include trees, green roofs, and community gardens that provide infinite community and environmental benefits.

As the promising, but vastly underutilized, power of nature becomes more clear, community leaders are starting to pay attention. A diverse set of stakeholders, including government agencies, nonprofits, community organizations and private businesses, are now working together to expand NBS in the Chicago area.

RxN’s Webinar series explores how we can overcome barriers and ensure that the implementation of NBS is as equitable and impactful as possible. Together, Chicago-based leaders can convene and connect around a shared vision for a stronger, fairer, greener future.

This webinar series is hosted by Jack Westwood, Program Director of Environmental Sustainability at Walder Foundation and Peter Nicholson, Founding Principal at Foresight Design Initiative.
